#021 – The Temple Bar Traditional Irish Whiskey review from WhiskyJason

WhiskyJason reviews The Temple Bar Traditional Irish Whiskey

This traditional Irish Whiskey was created by Tom Cleary, the owner of the Temple Bar. Tom Cleary wanted to create a whiskey for The Temple Bar and revived an old tradition in Ireland. In former times each pub had its own pub whiskey. This tradition is slowly returning to Ireland.

It was clear to Tom that it should be a catchy whiskey with a special touch. So it became a blend that matured in Bourbon and Port wine barrels. The maturation in the port wine casks gives the whiskey more depth and great notes of dark fruits. The bourbon casks gives it a beautiful wood character with sweet notes of vanilla and malt. All barrels have matured in the cellars of the Temple Bar.
