This single malt Irish whiskey has been finished off in oloroso sherry barrels.

This whiskey is named after the father of founder Ciaran Mulgrew. The ‘Quiet Man’ John Mulgrew was a bartender who despite hearing many interesting stories over the years never told any tales.

#006 – Tipperary Single Cask Red Wine Finish Single Malt Irish Whiskey Review from WhiskyJason

WhiskyJason reviews Tipperary Single Cask Red Wine Finish Single Malt Irish Whiskey

The first individual bottling of the Tipperary Boutique Distillery is something very special. The whiskey first matured for a full 9 years in an Oloroso Sherry barrel, before it matured for a nice balanced finish in a red wine barrel. The whiskey was bottled exclusively for the German market.

The red wine barrel was selected from the Bodega Faustino from Spain. The Rioja wine was matured in this barrel before the whiskey was finished in it , so the Tipperary single cask red wine finish single malt Irish whiskey has a nice dark color and a great dark fruit note.
