#024 – The Temple Bar 15 year old Single Malt Irish Whiskey review from WhiskyJason

WhiskyJason reviews The Temple Bar 15 year old Single Malt Irish Whiskey

The Temple Bar 15 5 year old Single Malt Irish Whiskey is a special bottling of the owner Tom Cleary from The Temple Bar. This bottling was filled for the occasion of the 175th anniversary of the Temple Bar. With this bottling the hospitality and joy of the bar was celebrated.

The Temple Bar was founded in 1840 as a wine and spirits trader. It is still the meeting point for young and old in the vibrant Temple Bar district in Dublin. For this bottling the best bourbon barrels of the 15-year-old single malt were selected and filled at 40% ABV.

Each bottle is individually numbered and has a great gift box. The barrels for this whiskey were stored the complete 15 years in the cellars of the Temple Bar.

The whiskey was distilled on small pot stills. It has a very distinctive and harmonious flavor in which the fruit notes harmonize wonderfully with wood tones.
