WhiskyJason reviews The Temple Bar 10 year old Single Malt Irish Whiskey
The Temple Bar 10 Years Single Malt Whiskey is the second bottling from the The Temple Bar whiskey series . Tom Cleary revived an old tradition in the heart of Dublin. Previously every pub in Ireland had its own whiskey with its own individual character.
The Temple Bar is a very traditional bar and for Tom it is important to maintain traditions, so now there is The Temple Bar Whiskey bottlings.
The barrels for this filling have been selected personally by Tom Cleary, the owner of the Temple Bar. In November 2005 the whiskey was filled into the American Oak barrels. For 10 years this whiskey could mature in the cellars of the Temple Bar and in November 2015 the whiskey flowed into the bottles.
Tom Cleary’s family has been around for decades and involved with the theme of whiskey and some barrels had decades ago already matured in the basements of their bars. So the step for Tom Cleary was obvious to also have his own Irish pub whiskey.
